Getting started
Log in and create your profile
Click on the NetID login link in the top right to get started.
Explore and add activities to your roadmap
After you have logged in and set up your profile, click on Plan Your Journey in the menu bar to see suggested professional development activities and add them to your personalized roadmap.
Assign target completion dates to your activities
Go to My Map to see your personalized roadmap, assign target dates for completing each activity (called a waypoint), add your own custom activities, make notes to yourself, and set reminder alerts for each waypoint on your professional development journey. Go back to Plan Your Journey at any time to add more activities.
What does Duke OPTIONS do?
There are many professional development opportunities and programs at Duke, especially within The Graduate School. This tool helps you explore the many options available to you by making suggestions based on your discipline, stage in graduate school, and career interests. You can add those suggestions, as well as your own custom activities and milestones, to a personalized roadmap that charts the course of your professional development throughout your time at Duke.

You're welcome to explore the tool to see all the ways that Duke supports graduate students in their professional development. Get started at Plan Your Journey Preview. Only authenticated Duke users can save their plans.
